The last Palo Alto Black and White Ball, held in 2004, drew more than 1,350 revelers and raised $184,000 for Palo Alto public school and youth programs. Proceeds this year, as last time, will be shared by the Palo Alto Recreation Foundation and Palo Alto Partners in Education.

The big winners of the raffle and silent auction took home prizes including exotic cruises, a one-carat diamond pendant, $3000 shopping spree, Cartier watch, golf packages and fine art. Georgie Gleim announced the winner of the “Champagne Diamond”, a one-carat diamond solitaire.

Dear Sunny and Dan,
The Black and White Ball this year was absolutely the best ever. The food, the music, the people, the lights, and the location, location, location. Obviously, the Lucie Stern Community Center is the perfect place to hold it... and I hope you will every year!
Thank you so much for all your hard work to make it a great success.

Dear Sunny and Dan,
The Black and White Ball last night was a fantastic event - for the community, Partners in Education, and the Recreation Foundation. Everyone was having fun in all your well-planned venues. My sincerest thanks go to you and your committee. The hard work was evident in the elegant atmosphere, tremendous selection of restaurants, and diverse entertainment. What a gift you gave to Palo Alto!
